This is Pedro’s story, a 10-year-old kid who lives in Sabana Perdida near to the Charles De Gaulle. Pedro is very energetic and charismatic, He likes playing and running everywhere with his friends. One day Pedro was playing with his friends “the crazy in chains” also known in D.R as “el loco en cadenas “, the game is about chasing the other players until you catch them and then the players that you’ve already caught must help you catch the rest of the players.
That day Pedro was one of the players that must run away from the one that had to catch them, Pedro and his friends had been running for several minutes trying to run away from the guy that is in turn in catching them. Pedro, who was running together with other two friends, decided to go to the Charles De Gaulle’s sidewalk. After several seconds running, one of Pedro’s friends, who was running in front of him, screamed “Watch out with the hole!!” Pedro, who could listen to what his friend said, kept running until he fell inside a hole.
Pedro fell inside the hole up to his waist, the hole was full of dirty water and trash making him dirty, when he got out of the hole he felt so dirty that he ran really fast to his house and he went straight to the bathroom to take a shower. Pedro said later that he felt so dirty that he took 3 showers to remove the smell out of his skin. Pedro remembers that day as one of the worst things that had ever happened to him.
